Taraji P. Henson Confuses Maroon 5 For Coldplay

"Empire" star Taraji P. Henson made a big oops at Super Bowl 50 when she couldn't contain her excitement over seeing Maroon 5 perform at the halftime show.

The 45-year-old actress even shared a post from her VIP box at the game before the band’s performance.

“YAAAAAAASSSSSS!!!! #maroon5 is life to me!!! #superbowl50 #HappyCamper I am.”

Kudos to Adam Levine (and the rest of the gang) but Coldplay was the halftime headliner.

Fans on social media immediately started poking fun on Hendon’s mistake, and the cellphone company T-Mobile compared the flub to Steve Harvey’s Miss Universe snafu.

The starlet, who won a Best Actress Golden Globe for her portrayal as the family matriarch, Cookie, on Fox's hip-hop drama, later deleted the post and made light of the situation with a simple mea culpa. "Oooooooopppps. Lmao! #Superbowl50."
