Rapper T.I. has called off his boycott of Atlanta restaurant Houston’s after sitting down with executives to discuss their alleged racism.
The “What You Know” rapper had “several meetings” with executives since October, when he first imposed the boycott after many African-American patrons claimed the restaurant wouldn’t seat them, TMZ reported. T.I.’s boycott received support from “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” star Mama Dee after she and her group were denied service.
The report said Houston’s will not racially discriminate, and it will also employ more minorities. The dress code reportedly also will change.
Hillstone Restaurant Group, the parent company of Houston’s, didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
T.I. took to Instagram in October to alert his followers of the plan.
“#BoycottHoustons #HoustonsWeHaveAProblem #ShutItDown #USorELSE,” he captioned the photo.
