T.I.‘s former restaurant employees are cooking up a new lawsuit against him.
In a new lawsuit, the ex-employees accuse the rapper of fraudulently transferring $40,000 to himself and his business partners instead of paying off the settlements he owes the Scales 925 Atlanta employees, The Blast reported.
T.I. and his partners reached a settlement in February to pay $78,000 to Avery Lee, Kyle Vargas, Khori Vargas, and Shawn Yarborough to end their lawsuit that accused him of withholding their overtime pay, but the new lawsuit claims T.I. settled a separate lawsuit with a business partner and was paid $40,000.
The ex-employees claim he and his partners hid the $40,000 payment from their creditors and kept the assets for their own personal use. As a result, they believe the money should’ve gone to them because T.I. still owes them more money from the settlement.
He has yet to respond to the lawsuit.
