A suspect has finally been arrested for the March burglary of Usher’s Los Angeles mansion.
Police believe they have arrested the man who swiped some $800,000 of property from the singer’s home last spring, according TMZ.
When authorities searched the suspect’s house, they’re said to have found “more than 2,000 items valued at over $2 million,” some of which belonged to Usher. They also found property belonging to a “Real Housewives” star, though it’s unclear who exactly that is.
Sources tell the website the man would check out high-end homes that were on the market during open houses, and return later to rob them.
In late March, Usher’s estranged wife, Grace Miguel, reported that the home, which was on the market, had been broken into after learning of a suspicious incident from a housekeeper. The thief made off with $820,000 of the singer’s jewelry – including a $220,000 watch and a $200,000 rose gold Jesus necklace – and cash. Usher filed for divorce from Miguel late last week.
TMZ reported that the suspect is not connected to a series of high profile robberies that have hit Hollywood over the last couple years.
