Suge Knight gave a lengthy speech in court Thursday accusing officials of planting a jailhouse informant next to his cell and hampering his defense ahead of an August trial.
"I know people are laughing like this is a joke, but this is my life," Knight told Judge Ronald S. Coen in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
"I'm not laughing," Judge Coen responded.
Knight, 51, has been charged with murder and attempted murder after running over two men with his truck outside a Compton restaurant in January 2015 — killing one of them.
He has pleaded not guilty, claiming he was the victim of an armed ambush.
Speaking for more than 10 minutes straight Thursday, Knight identified the alleged jailhouse informant as Danny Timms.
He claimed Timms was given an unredacted copy of the discovery in Knight's case, including an interview with surviving victim Cle "Bone" Sloan.
"How would a jailhouse informant by the name of Danny Timms have my full discovery before my attorneys had it?" Knight asked the judge.
He said Timms gave him the full file to review.
"According to Danny Timms, he said they wanted him to come testify and lie," Knight said.
Prosecutors declined to comment after the hearing.
The daughter of Terry Carter, the man who died in the Compton parking lot hit-and-run, scoffed at Knight's soliloquy after the hearing.
"He's a joke," Crystal Carter told the Daily News. "That's why people are laughing at him."
Knight said he needs more time to prepare for his August trial because he's only allowed to call his lawyers once a week when he's allowed up on the jailhouse roof on Wednesdays.
He said he's lost about 65 pounds in custody and only gained about three back since an emergency surgery last month on his appendix.
Another hearing was set for later Thursday afternoon.
