Suge Knight Accuses Dr. Dre Of Spending $20G To Have Him Killed

Incarcerated rap mogul Suge Knight claims Dr. Dre spent tens of thousands of dollars to have him killed, new court documents reportedly assert.

Knight asserts in the new court filing that he's seen the check for $20,000 that Dr. Dre allegedly filled out to serve as a payment to have his former Death Row Records colleague killed, TMZ reported, citing the documents.

The check, Knight claims, was made out to someone named Dwayne Johnson, whom Knight and a private investigator met with in July 2016.

Knight writes in the legal docs that he was told in that meeting that the check was meant to be a partial payment for "Dwayne Johnson to participate in (his) murder," TMZ reported.

Dr. Dre's attorneys slammed the allegations as "absurd," according to the report.

Knight alleges the killing was intended to be carried out on the same day that Knight was involved in a hit-and-run accident that left another man dead, TMZ reported. Johnson was apparently there at the time of that incident, which took place on Jan. 29, 2015.

The murder trial for Knight, who has been in jail since 2015 following that incident, is set to begin in January.
