After being jailed this summer for not paying $1.1 million in child support and was released on $25,000 bail, Stevie J was mandated to take random drug tests as a condition of his release. The Grammy-winning producer has reportedly failed all of his random drug tests and is being shipped off to a 30-day inpatient rehab.
The 43-year-old has tested positive for cocaine and marijuana 10 times between June and December of this year.
Stevie’s lawyer Michael Bellinger is arguing that Stevie going to jail is going to prevent him from being able to work and therefore hinder his ability to pay off his debts, saying “If he’s in inpatient he can’t support his family.”
The Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star first tested positive for marijuana and cocaine in June when he was picked up in Atlanta to be taken to New York for the back child support charges.
