“Family Feud” host Steve Harvey is in the midst of a legal feud over a pricey plane.
The comedian has been slapped with a lawsuit by a private jet company after Harvey failed to pay for custom alterations to a Gulfstream jet, The Tennessean reports.
In a federal suit filed Wednesday in Nashville, Business Aircraft Leasing Inc. alleged that Harvey, 58, agreed to pay it $400,000 for customizing the jet, which he “orally promised” to lease for $97,000 per month.
The Nashville-based company hired a Florida company to make the renovations, including custom carpet and seat designs as well as reconfiguring the interior cabin from 16 to 14 seats.
The suit claims that Harvey only paid for half the amount for the alterations before deciding he did not want to lease the plane.
Business Aircraft Leasing is suing for at least $205,040, the remaining amount allegedly still owed by the game show host.
