Stephen Curry's 'Sneaker Free Agency' Auction Raises $1.7 Million For Charity

The auction for Stephen Curry’s “Sneaker Free Agency” collection ended yesterday, bringing in $1.7 million for charity. There were 81 total pairs that were up for grabs but for this list, we’re focusing on the top 10 most expensive sneakers from the auction. To the surprise of nobody, this list is mostly dominated by Nike Kobe styles, which make up six of the ten top sales. It’s also worth mentioning that proceeds from this auction will benefit the Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, whose mission is to provide children access to nutritious meals, literacy, and safe places to play. “This whole journey started as a way to have some fun with the game and tell stories through what I was wearing every night, but it turned into something much bigger than I ever expected,” Curry said. “Seeing the response from fans and collectors around the world, and knowing that every pair is now going on to have a life beyond me, is really special. What means the most is that this moment is creating real impact off the court through Eat. Learn. Play., and that’s always been the goal.
