STALKER ISH! CHRIS BROWN BUYS A PAD NEXT TO RIHANNA'S HOUSE!

R&B star Chris Brown just bought a new Los Angeles pad -- and word is it's not too far from where ex-girlfriend Rihanna is trying to sell her house.

Brown closed on the three-bedroom home in late October for $1.55 million, according to real estate website Zillow. The singer might have scored a bit of a deal, because it was a short sale (where the proceeds are less than the balance of the loan). The property was originally listed for $2,669,000 in 2009.

Brown has been living in a penthouse apartment in a seven-unit West Hollywood condo building. According to the Real Estalker blog, he hasn't exactly won over the neighbors. He's been accused of parking in handicapped spaces, frequently playing loud music and racing dogs in the building's hallways.

A source who spoke with Radar Online about the purchase speculated that a private home would be better for Brown, and that he wouldn't have to deal with "pesky neighbors." The listing boasts other perks of the "ultimate transparent party house”: sleek modern design, a high-tech entertainment system and a "hipster pool."

About 8 miles away, ex-girlfriend Rihanna, whom Brown pled guilty to assaulting in 2009, is trying to sell her property in a short sale for $4.5 million. She's in the middle of a lawsuit claiming the home was poorly constructed and has multiple leaks that have caused serious damage.
