Stack Bundles Brother Thinks Chinx’s Drive-By Shooting Could Be Related To 2007 Murder

The brother of slain Queens rapper Stack Bundles says he won't be surprised if the unsolved 2007 murder is linked to Sunday’s slaying of fellow rapper Lionel “Chinx” Pickens.

Bundles, whose real name was Rayquon Elliott, was gunned down outside his Redfern Houses residence in Far Rockaway in June 2007.

Pickens, 31, a Bundles protege, was serving four years for robbery and drugs when Bundles was shot in the head at age 24.

"I really think they could be related," Elliott's older brother Ronald Ulmer, 48, told the Daily News.

"They were tight. They were a crew. And I just think if a person commits a crime as harsh as killing, and they think they got away with it, they will surface and do it again," he said.

Ulmer said he welcomed the renewed interest in his brother's mysterious murder.

"Myself and my family, we still want justice. Any time a family member (is) taken, you want to know who's responsible," he said.

Elliott's sister Geannie Ulmer spoke at Jamaica Medical Center Sunday after Pickens was rushed there and pronounced dead.

"(He) is laying in the same place my brother did. For what? For rapping? For what he believed in?" she said. "You got to look at that. Somebody's out there aiming for us."

Investigators continued their search for a motive and suspects Wednesday — and were looking at a possible connection to the Bundles murder, among other angles.

"They were friends, Stack Bundles and Chinx. They were friends, so we're looking at all hip-hop angles," NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said Tuesday.

"We've been getting a lot of information from the hip-hop community, from social media sites, any contacts this individual (Pickens) may have had. I do not have an eyeball witness right now to that scene," he said.

Boyce called the investigation “long-term," suggesting it might take a while.

The murders of Pickens and Bundles share eerie similarities.

Pickens grew up in the problem-plagued Redfern Houses where Bundles was killed. Both men were up-and-coming rappers who drove flashy Porsches and had ties to big stars.

Bundles collaborated with rappers Fabolous and Jim Jones of the Dipset and ByrdGang groups. Pickens was a member of French Montana's Coke Boys crew and recently collaborated with Too Short and Meek Mill.

Montana, 30, is the on-again off-again boyfriend of Khloé Kardashian.

Boyce said the case's notoriety and Kardashian connection was a concern because "there's always the issue of retaliation."

Passenger Antar Alziadi, who goes by the name Yemen Chee$e, suffered gunshot wounds to his back in the 4 a.m. shooting but survived.

"I'm alive. And I'm coming home," he said in an Instagram post Tuesday.

There was no evidence that a fight at Club Red Wolf in Brooklyn — where Chinx performed a set about 2:30 a.m. — triggered the violence, cops said.

"Right now we don't have anybody not cooperating. There is no fight in the club. We got (that) from numerous sources," he said.
