South Carolina Woman Destroyed Husband’s Car After Learning About Affair

Break her heart, she’ll kill your car.

A woman in South Carolina allegedly took her husband’s gun, then destroyed his car with the gun and a hammer, after learning that he was cheating on her.

Delores Cureton, 61, is charged with criminal domestic violence for the Jan. 31 incident, KHOU reported.

York Police said that Cureton went into the car of her husband John and took a pistol out of his glove box. She tried to load it, then shot it over her head, but nothing happened because there wasn’t a round in the chamber.

When the shooting failed, Cureton started hitting her husband’s Lincoln Town Car with the gun, breaking the windshield. She then took a hammer out of her car and continued destroying the car.

When police arrived, they found the car with smashed tail lights, broken windows and covered in blood.

Cureton’s right hand was bleeding and she passed out as emergency responders inspected her injuries, WBTV reported. She was taken to a hospital and released.

Police filed the domestic violence charge against Cureton because her husband said he was afraid of getting shot, but her husband nonetheless talked police out of charges her for the car damages.

Cureton told police she thought her husband’s mistress was in their house at the time, but police aren’t sure yet if that was true.
