Snoop Dogg To Star And Produce ‘God Of The Rodeo’ Ridley Scott Film

Snoop Dogg has been tapped to star in a new Ridley Scott-produced film, titled God of the Rodeo, but he’d also be co-producing under his Death Row Pictures banner alongside Sara Ramaker. Rosalind Ross will write and direct. God of the Rodeo, based on reporting by Daniel Bergner, tells the story of an Angola Prison inmate in the late 1960s who takes part in a rodeo put on by the facility, only to come to the realization that the event isn’t the beacon of hope they assumed. In May of last year, it was reported that Shia LaBeouf would star in the film, which also counts Giannina Scott as a producer. However, it wasn’t immediately clear whether he was still attached to the project.
