SNOOKI GETS SLAMMED FOR PROMOTING INDOOR TANNING!

First she got punched in the face, now Nicole (Snooki) Polizzi from "Jersey Shore" is getting verbally slammed for her tanning habits.
Polizzi received some serious backlash from a member of the Parents Television Council after her appearance on "The Jay Leno Show" Monday, where she announced her aspirations to "change the world" by installing a tanning bed "in everybody's homes," Usmagazine.com reports.

Marybeth Hicks, of the Council, berated the sun-kissed self-professed "guidette," saying, "It's disconcerting that [she] could have any sort of influence or be a role model ... or advocate something like tanning beds that could cause cancer."

The 21-year-old reality TV star, who recently made headlines for being punched over the summer at a Seaside Heights, N.J., bar, wasn’t shy when she also told Leno her favorite junk food was "pickles" and that she doesn't read books.

"The notion that these people are celebrities at all gives them credibility they should not have," said Hicks, adding that the show is "glorifying" behavior that is "silly" and "dangerous."

"This [show, 'Jersey Shore'] is a great example of sheer exploitation for the purpose of chasing ratings," says Hicks, adding that cast members are "so caricatured, they're almost like cartoons."

The complaint is just the latest in a string of attacks against the popular show.

New Jersey lawmakers previously asked MTV to pull the show because, they say, it promotes ethnic stereotypes that are "wildly offensive." The group also wanted advertisers to boycott the show.

Pizza chain Dominos was the first to make the move away from the controversial reality show.

American Family Insurance followed the lead by instructing MTV not to use any more of their ads, which originally aired during the show's premiere.

Most recently, Dell became the third advertiser to pull adds off the reality show, saying they don't "condone or support ethnic bashing in any form."

The controversial reality show, "Jersey Shore," continues to air Thursdays at 10 p.m. on MTV.
