Simon Cowell Says He Will Not Leave His Entire $300 Million Fortune To His Unborn Son

Simon Cowell's unborn son may not be receiving an inheritance from his wealthy father in the future.

The “X Factor” judge has recently admitted his paternal instincts are beginning to kick in, however, passing down his fortune is not something he intends to do.

"I'm going to leave my money to somebody. A charity, probably kids and dogs," he told Esquire UK in a recent interview.

"I don't believe in passing on from one generation to another."

The date the sit-down took place may have been before news broke that Cowell was about to become a dad to a baby boy with New York socialite Lauren Silverman.

“Your legacy has to be that hopefully you gave enough people an opportunity,” he continued.

“So that they could do well, and you gave them your time, taught them what you know.”

Cowell dished in another interview with The Times of London that he feels "very paternal" now that impending fatherhood is approaching.

“I can assure you: I won't go soft," the prickly TV personality made sure to add.

The scandal surrounding Silvermans's pregnancy made headlines in July as she was still married to Cowell's pal Andrew Silverman when she became pregnant.

The former spouses are now divorced allowing the idea of becoming a father to really set in for Cowell.

"Once I got used to it , I did get excited," he told BBC Breakfast.

"I will be a good dad, ” Cowell told TMZ on camera in Los Angeles Friday alongside his ex-fiancee makeup artist, Mezhgan Hussainy, showing the pair are still on good terms post their split.

Cowell went on to explain to the gossip site that he won’t be reading any baby books on how to be a parent.

“I like to do everything naturally,” he said.
