Sherri Shepherd is now facing custody battles on two fronts.
"The View" host, 47, is fighting for custody of her 9-year-old son Jeffrey with her first husband Jeffrey Tarpley, People reports.
According to court documents obtained by the gossip magazine, Tarpley filed for an emergency modification to his custody arrangement with Shepherd in July 2013, claiming that their son was suffering from "neglect."
The petition contends that Jeffrey has special needs, can barely write, and cannot tie his own shoes.
Tarpley claims' that Shepherd's work schedule "caused her to neglect Jeffrey and deprive him accress to basic educational needs, a nurturing and loving environment, and care that Jeffrey so desperately needs."
Tarpley also claims that Shepherd left care of their son to "unskilled nannies." The couple split in 2011 after ten years of marriage.
The revelation comes at the same time that Shepherd is going through divorce proceedings with her second husband, Lamar Sally.
According to TMZ, a prenup guarantees that Shepherd has full custody of her second, unborn child, currently being carried by a surrogate.
Sally is reportedly seeking to invalidate their prenup on grounds of fraud and obtain full custody of the baby.
