Shaggy Says Playing His Music Could Help Defeat ISIS

Reggae artist Shaggy has a strategy for defeating ISIS: make them listen to his records.

"If you're able to cut a man's head off, you're sick. But right, music evokes emotion," the "It Wasn't Me" singer mused tothe Miami New Times about the bloodthirsty militant group.

"So if they're listening to Shaggy music or reggae music, they're not going to want to cut somebody's head off."

The "Boombastic" musician also suggested that reggae music could bring an end to all war because there are only "two things you want to do when you listen to [IT]: You get somebody pregnant or you're f---- high."

"High people don't want to kill nothing; they want to love. They need to bag some Jamaican weed and distribute it amongst ISIS. I guarantee there won't be any more wars out there," the singer said.

Despite the silly comments, the 46-year-old musician isn't a stranger to military strategy.

The Flatbush-raised artist, whose real name is Orville Burrell, was a Marine and served in the Gulf War before pursuing a music career.
