Serena Williams Doesn't Blame Drake At Fashion Week Show

Here's proof that Serena Williams doesn't blame Drake for her shocking loss last week at the U.S. Open: The models at her highly anticipated New York Fashion Week show Tuesday walked down the runway as the rapper's music blared in the background.

The tennis star's rumored boyfriend was spotted sitting in the center of the front row of her show, in which Williams was promoting her Signature Statement Collection for HSN.

Drake, who was surrounded by a horde of security at the event, sat between Serena's sister, Venus Williams, and fashion editor Anna Wintour.

Celebrities Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge and Robin Roberts were also seated upfront at the show.

Drake was faulted by many fans for being a distraction to Williams as she fell in three sets to the unseeded Roberta Vinci last Friday, ending her bid for a historic Calendar Grand Slam. So many Williams fans were outraged that the hashtag "#BlameDrake" began trending on Twitter.

Williams had been vying for a Calendar Grand Slam after winning each of the other three majors earlier this year, but with Drake watching from a suite at Ashe Stadium, she failed to become the first to achieve the feat since 1988.

The world's top-ranked tennis pro chose not to expound on the surprising upset on Tuesday, instead opting to talk about promoting her line during the country's premier fashion week.

"I'm feeling great, a little nervous," Williams said. "I'm excited. I am really happy to be here and loving every moment."

Williams added that despite her busy schedule, she's finding time to balance her tennis career with her fashion line.

"I don't sleep so I think that helps," she confessed. "I literally don't sleep so it definitely helps. Not healthy for me but I'll sleep tonight. I'll work it out tonight."

Her alleged relationship with Drake is likely taking up whatever little free time she has left.

The 21-time Grand Slam winner's relationship with the "Started From The Bottom" rapper was essentially confirmed last month when the duo was seen making out at a swanky Cincinnati restaurant last month.

Drake had previously been spotted on-hand at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in England, an event Williams won.

Williams once again downplayed any speculation on Tuesday, however, choosing to talk instead about what her professional future holds.

"Just another show, another match," Williams said. "Another Grand Slam, so we'll go from there."
