Tennis star Serena Williams found out the hard way that security is serious about no photos being taken during golf tournaments. Serena was busted taking photos of Tiger Woods during the second round of play at the Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Friday. The Daily Mail shared the details on March 2.
Williams tweeted about the incident and shared the photos she had taken, noting that security got “mad and yelled” at her. Security caught the tennis champion taking photos and Serena was busted, as they took her phone for a bit. The photo of Tiger Woods shows he had just taken his tee shot near the end of the round as she snapped the photo.
ESPN notes that Tiger Woods finished Friday's round quite a few shots behind the leader, and play is already under way for Saturday. He's got some ground to make up if he wants to finish well this weekend. Luke Guthrie is on fire so far with Michael Thompson and Boo Weekley showing strong performances as well.
Serena indicates that she doesn't know much about golf and had no idea she wasn't allowed to take photos.
