ScHoolboy Q announced that his Toronto stop for The Blue Lips Tour was canceled and seemingly suggested that Drake may have been behind it. Q’s frustration was understandable as the Thursday (July 18) show was his tour opener. “THey just cancelled my sHow in TORONTO,” he wrote on social media with a laughing emoji. “CANADIAN POLICE DONT WANT NOBODY FROM TDE PERFORMING.” Why wouldn’t they want anyone from TDE gracing their stages? The immediate conclusion fans reached was that the fact that Drizzy went head-to-head with former TDE signee Kendrick Lamar two months ago, and he may be exercising his power in the city to stop anyone affiliated with K. Dot from getting some shine on his home turf. The 37-year-old rapper went deeper into the situation, drawing a parallel to some recent happenings in California. “TOP was just wit Wayne & Baby smH partynextdoor just Had a sHow @ tHe palladium,” he wrote. “If we wanted to get yall we would’ve just did it now wHen sumbody get Hurt don’t cry…” The intimation of violence perhaps has to do with the fact Rick Ross was jumped in Vancouver a few weeks ago after he decided to play “Not Like Us” at one of his shows. If it wasn’t clear already that ScHoolboy Q was alluding to Drake, he made it crystal clear with his next tweet. “Actually I get it,” he wrote. “Nvm tHis sH*t [lowkey] hilarious *laughing emoji*… Iono wHy dot put me in tHat f**king video.” The referenced video is the “Not Like Us” video which came out earlier this month and featured a cameo appearance by the Los Angeles rapper, among several other hometown acts
