IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Popular websites like Wikipedia and Google have gone dark to protest two anti-piracy bills in Congress: SOPA - The House's 'Stop Online Piracy Act' and PIPA - the Senate's Protect IP Act. The bills were designed to stop piracy of copyrighted music, movies and TV shows. But many websites view these regulations, if passed, as a full censorship of the internet. Wikipedia's site will be dark for 24 hours to protest the controversial anti-piracy legislation.
