Sammie Breaks Silence After Being Arrest On Cruelty To Children And Battery Charges

Sammie has spoken out amid news coverage of his recent arrest in Georgia, in the Henry County area that occurred earlier this month. Online jail records list Sammie Lee Bush as having been booked on Oct. 19 on charges including cruelty to children in the third degree, battery (family violence), and fugitive in-state. The cruelty to children-related charge, specifically, is typically applied in instances where an individual is accused of a violent act that is witnessed by a child, i.e. not a violent act committed against a child. However, specific details on the allegations against the Everlasting artist haven’t been made public. Sammie was ultimately released on bond, and has since provided updates to fans on social media, as well as performed as part of the ONE Music Fest lineup in Atlanta. Over the weekend, Sammie hopped into the comments of the Instagram update from The Shade Room seen above, calling the coverage surrounding the arrest “clickbait.” He also appeared to address the arrest in an Instagram Stories update. “I’mma let God have his say and the courts have their say,” he said, as seen below. “The truth shall set you free.”
