IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

No more kissing girls for Katy Perry.
The newly engaged songstress spills the details about her whirlwind relationship with comedian Russell Brand in the newest issue of Glamour magazine.

"I'm excited to find a partner who can just be my teammate," says the February cover girl.

The couple met while on the set for the film "Get Him to the Greek," in which Perry had a cameo appearance.

"My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny," says Perry. "I hop like a bunny when I'm happy - I get a bit childlike."

The "I Kissed a Girl" singer also admits that it's easy for her "to steamroll guys" so "there's got to be respect."

The couple, who became engaged while vacationing in India over the winter holidays, stayed in one of the presidential suites of the five-star Taj Rambagh Palace hotel, People.com reports.

According to the U.K.'s Sun, the funny man requested hotel staff to set up a unique dining experience for the couple.

"We set a table in a garden with candles everywhere," a hotel worker said. "They arrived in a horse and carriage with a glass of champagne and we served them dinner."

The couple reportedly ate their romantic meal under the stars and were treated to New Year's fireworks at midnight while sitting on an elephant – a request specially made by Brand.

Brand, 34, proposed to Perry, 25, on New Year's Eve after the 25-year-old singer is said to have found a ring hidden in some flowers.

"She immediately said 'Yes,'" adds the source. "After that they requested 45 minutes privacy. They looked like they were beautifully in love."

Much like their speedy engagement after four months of dating, the duo's wedding may be within the next six to eight months. Brand's rep could not confirm any nuptial dates.

Though Perry has now found love, she confesses to Glamour that it's been tough for her to open up.

"I have always been this character, but I kind of cartoon-ized myself a little bit [in my stage persona]," Perry said. "So when someone really likes me, it's like here comes a person! I wonder if you can handle this."
