Rico Montil, an American singer and songwriter began singing at the age of 4. He grew up singing along side his older brother and sisters. His father developed a group for them at a young age. Years later, the Memphis native would occasionally sing at venues, weddings, festivals, graduations, etc. In 2012 he lost his brother and in 2014 his mom died. Following their deaths, singing was how he coped with his pain and it became therapeutic. Music kept the R&B singer level-headed. He was inspired to get in the studio and work on his craft by his brother, who manages his career. Since then, he recorded his first EP that he dropped in 2018. Known from his smash single titled "I Been". He released his 2nd EP in 2020 as well as a mixtape. Rico Montil announced via Instagram that he recently returned to the studio and is working on his new album self-titled "Blues and BBQ Vol. 1". He is currently signed under an independent label called Forever Family Ent. He's expected to tour in the near future. Check out his latest EP "Closer To You" now available on all streaming services and online stores.
