Rihanna has settled a lawsuit over plagiarism claims surrounding one of her music videos.
The singer settled out of court for an undisclosed sum with fashion photographer David LaChapelle after the artist claimed images in Rihanna's 'S&M' video breached copyright, reports London Evening Standard.
LaChapelle filed a $1 million (£633,000) compensation lawsuit against the 23-year-old for damages earlier this year.
Commenting on the similarities in both of their work, he stated: "I like RiRi. This is not personal, it's strictly business.
"Musicians commonly pay to sample music or use someone's beats and there should be no difference when sampling an artist's visuals."
LaChapelle highlighted eight images in the Rihanna clip that mimicked his own work, including the Bajan star posing in front of newspaper headlines very similar to his own photoshoot with Lady GaGa.
The photographer's publicist confirmed that the lawsuit had been settled out of the court and that he is "happy with the settlement".
Meanwhile, Rihanna still faces a further claim of plagiarism for the promo from photographer Philipp Paulus.
Rihanna remained atop the UK singles chart for a second week on Sunday with her latest single 'We Found Love'.
