Self-proclaimed bad girl Rihanna has given her upcoming album a fittingly rebellious title.
The "Rude Boy" crooner revealed Wednesday at a Los Angeles gallery that her highly anticipated eighth LP will be called "Anti."
She also unveiled the new album's artwork at the showing — a warped image of a young Rihanna holding balloon while a gold crown covered her eyes.
The songstress then shared an explanation for the new album's title and artwork by posting a mock dictionary definition and explanatory sentence for "anti" on Instagram.
"By continuing to follow her own instincts, her work strives to make an impact by doing the very antithesis of what the public expects," Rihanna's dictionary inscription read.
Rihanna didn't offer any more details about the album, other than that it is "coming soon."
The release of "Anti" will be a momentous day for the Barbadian vocalist's diehards, who have been waiting three years since her last album, “Unapologetic.”
The singer, who goes by @badgirlriri on Instagram, has done plenty to upkeep her bad-girl image over the years. She’s frequently referred to smoking weed, and she’s progessively gotten more and more tattoos all over her body.
She’s had plenty of time to indulge in her vices during her three-year hiatus from album-making, although she did appear in songs with Eminem and Shakira during that time.
Little is known about "Anti” except that Rihanna has already released two tracks from it: "B---- Better Have My Money" and "FourFiveSeconds," which features vocals from Kanye West and guitar by Paul McCartney.
