Rihanna sang a fitting song on Oprah Winfrey's special Haiti edition Wednesday - Bob Marley's "Redemption Song."
Her rendition is on sale on iTunes to benefit the victims of the earthquake that struck the area, with all money raised going towards the cause.
Rihanna chose the classic since it's helped her get through her own problems.
"This song for me, growing up, anytime there was a difficult situation, I always listened to this song because it was so liberating," the 21-year-old singer said on Winfrey's show.
"Even now I listen to it when my back is up against the wall," she added. "I feel like the people of Haiti need to hear something inspiring."
Winfrey dedicated the full hour of her talk show Wednesday to the earthquake, highlighting the personal stories of victims to put a face on the tragedy.
Haiti native and musician Wyclef Jean was also on-hand to share what he saw when he traveled back to the area to witness the devastation. Maxwell also performed his single "Fistful of Tears," which is also available at iTunes.
Both Jean and Rihanna are expected to appear on the "Hope For Haiti Now" telethon, airing on several networks Friday at 8 p.m.
"Everybody needs to tune in," Rihanna pleaded on "Oprah." "We need your help."
