Rihanna paid tribute to victims of the Bastille Day terror attack in Nice with a heartwarming performance Tuesday in Lyon, France.
The "Work" singer paused during moment of silence as the lights on the stage turned red, white and blue — the colors of the French flag.
"Tonight is the night I wish I could have experienced with my fans in Nice," she told the crowd of nearly 40,000.
Adding, "This next song I want to dedicate to the people of Nice. To the people who've suffered, to the people who've been traumatized — and their families," the 27-year-old hitmaker said before belting out her 2012 song, "Diamonds."
Before the touching tribute, she asked her fans to pull out their cell phones and lights in honor of the victims. "I need you to help me light this building up."
RiRi, 28, canceled her show in Nice after an attack during the Bastille Day fireworks Thursday that left 84 people dead and dozens injured.
She was staying at a hotel on Nice's Promenade des Anglais, but was dining at Michelangelo restaurant in nearby Antibes when the tragedy occurred.
