Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together again…at least in the recording studio.
The on-again off-again couple, who were spotted Christmas Day snuggling up at a Knicks-Lakers game, set off speculation that they were teaming up on another musical collaboration when they left the same West Hollywood studio Thursday night.
Though the two left separately, a rep for Chris Brown confirmed to E! online that they are working on another single together.
It won’t be the first time the controversial couple has joined forces. Last year, Brown appeared as a guest of Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake,” and the “Diamonds” singer returned the favor by lending her voice to Brown’s “Turn Up the Music.”
Rihanna’s most recent album, "Unapologetic," included a track with Brown titled “Nobodies Business.” In light of the couple’s torrid romantic history, from the 2009 assault case that landed Brown on probation to the recent altercation between Brown and Drake, it’s tempting to take the title as the superstar couple’s answer towards questions about their personal lives.
But Rihanna, 24, bristles at reporters who read her songs as diary entries. In the February/March issue of Complex Magazine, the Bahamanian bombshell snapped at an interviewer for prodding her about Brown’s participation on her new album.
“You’re still asking me questions about it, so clearly you don’t know,” she said.
“It’s all about the music. Everything else doesn’t play a part in the studio.”
