Reporter Attacked On Live TV By A Masked Man Promoting His Mixtape

Rapper, Majesty Da Rebel, became the epitome of those willing to do anything for their ten seconds of fame this past Friday (Mar. 4). During ABC-7’s reporter, Cefaan Kim’s coverage of a rape case, the rapper stole the show in a white hockey mask ready to advocate for his rhyming capabilities, the New York Post reports.

The camera dodges the scene of an annoyed Kim for a few seconds looking up to the sky, while Rebel is in the background demanding, “Put the camera on me.” When the camera is cut back to the opposing duo, you can see Rebel has Kim by his coat’s collar chanting, “Yo, what’s up?” He then pushes the reporter away from him.

Soon after, Kim jumps back advancing towards the rapper to defend himself while bystanders separate the two men. The news reporter then makes a claim that the rapper attacked first and Majesty Da Rebel opposes the accusations, claiming the opposite. There’s no way to tell which man charged toward the other first due to the camera man’s 3-second dodge, but it was enough to make you replay the video twice.

The rapper claims he could care less about the negative media backlash coming his way, stating, “I can always flip that. I saw an opportunity and took the opportunity to promote my video and mixtape. From the beginning, it was friendly—I put my arm around him, and then he pushed me, grabbed me.”

In case you were wondering what a hockey mask has to do with his video and mixtape, his Mansa FID-directed video for “Jason” is a sure giveaway.
