Remy Ma ‘Recovering’ After Having A Blood Transfusion

Remy Ma is back home after surgery for complications following childbirth.

“I’m FINALLY back home and doing much better,” the 38-year-old rapper shared on Instagram Thursday night. “The baby has been PERFECTLY fine… I’m resting & recovering at home.”

Remy Ma and husband Papoose welcomed their daughter on December 14. No name was given, but she goes by the nickname “Golden Child.”

“Thank you to all of our family, friends, and loved ones who reached out – Sorry for not responding to texts and/or calls – I physically was not able to and my husband @papoosepapoose was concerned & worried about me all while looking after our ‘Golden Child,’” she added.

Remy Ma unexpectedly returned to the hospital on Tuesday. A rep for the star told Page Six, “Remy is [in] recovery in the hospital from a blood transfusion due to childbirth complication.”

Few details about the actual delivery are known, except Papoose did share on Instagram that it was “tough labor.”

Due to complications, both the baby and Remy Ma were kept in the hospital an additional day.
