Reggaeton Singer Wisin Mourns The Death Of His 1-Month-Old Daughter

Reggaeton star Wisin announced Friday his 1-month-old daughter Victoria died.

“Thank you, my God, for one month of life, for one month of Victoria. God gives, and God takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord. Princess Victoria, I will see you again in heaven,” the 37-year-old Puerto Rican singer wrote in Spanish on Instagram with a black and white photo of his daughter and wife Yomaira Ortiz Feliciano.

“What immense pain I have, God, please help me. I want to use this moment to thank the millions of people that were praying for our family and our Victoria. Thank you because in all of your gestures and words … we were able to see God each time. My princess just died.”

Victoria was diagnosed with trisomy 13, a genetic disorder, when Ortiz was five months pregnant, she told Telemundo Puerto Rico’s “Dando Candela” in early September.

“We are no one to decide over the life of another human, even if it is our child. Always know that God has a perfect plan, even if at the moment we can't seem to understand it.”

Wisin and Ortiz have two other children, son Dylan, 7, and daughter Yelena, 8.
