Ray J Parades Kim Kardashian Lookalike On ’106 & Park’

Let's face it: Kim Kardashian owes a lot of her success to Ray J. It was the sex tape she made with Brandy's little brother that put her on the map, so can you really blame Ray J for playing the Kim K. card to try to reignite his career?

In his latest attempt to get more bang out of his former flame, Ray brought the Kim K. lookalike, who appears in his video for his controversial Kanye-baiting single "I Hit It First," with him for an appearance Wednesday on BET's "106 & Park."

Before he brought out his video Kim Kar-duplicate, Ray J spoke about the track. "The song is about something I did. I try not to go so hard with the record 'cause it's self-explanatory," he explained. "There's other relationships that I've been in too, just not as popular as others that I've dealt with."

Ray J's play appears to be working. "I Hit It First" has reached No. 11 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hot-Hop Songs chart, his highest charting track since "Sexy Can I" reached No. 4 in 2008.

On "106 & Park," the show's audience was treated to a screening of the "I Hit It First" clip, and sang along. Near the end of the show, Bow Wow, the show's host, urged Ray J to bring out his Kim K. clone, whose name happens to be Luba.

Yet Ray J insisted he's no one-trick pony. "Like I said, it's something I did," he explained. "I make songs all the time. This is just the beginning of a story I'm trying to tell. There's records coming with a whole lot more substance. I wanted this record to be the platform for the rest of the story I'm telling."

There's no word if Ray and Luba have been contacted by Vivid or any other adult video company about making a sequel to his famous video romp with Kim K. Guess that has nothing to do with Ray J's "rest of the story."
