Ray J turned to his “Love & Hip Hop” family for advice on his on-again, off-again relationship with estranged wife Princess Love.
“I was eager to kind of get some opinions and talk to some people to see what they thought about what I was going through and maybe they could help me.”
In December Ray and Love, 36, were set to join “VH1 Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop Edition” to work on their ongoing marital problems, but soon after, a source confirmed to us the couple would be moving forward with their divorce and Ray told us he ended up on the show alone.
“I didn’t have Princess with me,” he said, explaining that being there by himself put him in a different mindset. “I was just in a weird place. So I think you get to see that and get to see me in a vulnerable space.
“I’m trying to just fight through it and understand what’s my next step and what decisions I need to make as a man going forward.”
Love and Ray wed in 2016 and first filed for divorce in May 2020. The couple reconciled in June and Love requested the petition to be dismissed. However, just two months later, Ray filed for divorce.
And now, the couple — who share two children: 2-year-old Melody and 1-year-old Epik — appear to be spending time together again, posting a video together on a yacht in Miami last week.
While their relationship status remains up in the air, Ray recently told TMZ he is planning to relocate to Miami with his family.
“VH1 Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop Edition” premieres on Monday at 8 p.m. ET.
