IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Quincy Jones is sorry he shared everybody’s business in two revealing interviews.

The music legend, 85, says his six daughters staged a “family intervention” for him about his recent behavior.

“I have learned my lesson,” he shared on Twitter Thursday. “Let me tell you, I’m so grateful for my daughters because they aren’t scared to stand up to their daddy. I am an imperfect human & I’m not afraid to say it. And I’m sorry & I’m not afraid to say it.”

Jones made headlines recently by claiming Richard Pryor had sex with Marlon Brando. He also said that Michael Jackson ripped off “Billie Jean” from Rick James, and Jones also said he dated Ivanka Trump.

“When you’ve been fortunate enough to have lived such a long & crazy life (& you’ve recently stopped drinking — three years ago!), certain details about specific events (which do not paint the full picture of my intentions nor experiences) come flooding back all at once, & even at 85, it’s apparent that ‘wordvomit’ & bad-mouth is inexcusable,” Jones expressed. He said “bad-mouthing” has contradicted his messages about racism, inequality, homophobia, poverty and more.

Jones has already begun mending broken relationships with his close friends.

“I’m sorry to anyone whom my words offended & I’m especially sorry to my friends who are still here with me & those who aren’t,” he added.

Jones also thanked his family for correcting his behavior, writing, “Thank you for calling me out when I’ve clearly made a mistake… many mistakes. Even though sometimes it’s difficult to receive criticism or discipline (especially publicly), I want you to know I hear you.”
