Prince Was Hospitalized After Private Jet Makes Emergency Landing

Prince was hospitalized early Friday after his private jet made an emergency landing in Illinois, according to reports.

The 57-year-old guitar god’s plane made an unscheduled landing at Quad City Airport in Moline, Ill. a little after 1 a.m., TMZ reported.

A rep for the “Little Red Corvette” singer told TMZ that the star had been battling the flu.

It was later reported that he was released from the hospital three hours after arriving and flew home.

The Purple One performed two intimate shows Thursday night at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, part of his “Piano & A Microphone” tour.

The shows were originally scheduled to take place on April 7, but were postponed due to illness.

The artist was tweeting reviews of the show Friday from his verified account.
