Prince’s Six Siblings Named Rightful Heirs To His Multimillion-Dollar Estate

Prince’s siblings will be the only relatives with a stake in his fortune.

A Minnesota judge ruled on Friday that the late pop icon’s sister, Tyka Nelson and half-siblings, Omarr Baker, Alfred Jackson, Sharon Nelson, Norrine Nelson and John R. Nelson, will divide the worth of Prince’s $100 to $300 million dollar estate, the Star Tribune reported.

The “Purple Rain” singer left behind no will, which led to a more than year-long battle over who were the rightful heirs to his millions.

Prince died in April 2016 of an accidental overdose of the painkiller fentanyl.

Several relatives of the late musician tried to make the case that they were also deserving to be heirs of Prince’s estate, some of whom were already denied by Judge Kevin Eide.

Eide said that the Court of Appeals or state Supreme Court could still decide if there are any other heirs, but then the district court would review the cases, the Tribune reported.

A most recent inventory conducted of the estate included cash, gold bars and dozens of properties.
