Pregnant Erica Mena Files To Divorce Safaree Samuels

Pregnant Erica Mena has filed to divorce Safaree Samuels after less than two years of marriage.

The “Love & Hop Hop” star filed paperwork to divorce the rapper last Friday in Fayette County Superior Court in Georgia, according to court documents.

In regards to their 1-year-old daughter Safire, Mena is asking for primary physical custody on a temporary and permanent basis “with the parties having parenting time as determined in the minor children’s best interests,” the filing states.

Mena, 33, is also asking for child support as well as exclusive use of their Georgia home they currently share. Additionally, she is asking that Samuels forks over the cash for her attorney fees.

The docs also state that Mena is looking for a divorce because their marriage is “irretrievably broken” and there is “no hope of reconciliation.”

Their breakup comes just weeks after Mena announced in an Instagram post that she was pregnant and expecting another child with 39-year-old Samuels.

Since then, she has posted several photos showing off her growing baby bump including multiple pics where her wedding band is nowhere in sight, signaling that she may have been trying to let her fans know their marriage was coming to an end.

She and Samuels welcomed their daughter in February 2020.

The soon-to-be exes announced that they were expecting their first child together in October 2019 and under a week later they tied the knot, with Samuels spending almost $500,000 on their rings.

And last July they launched a joint OnlyFans account.

Samuels and Mena both appeared on the 10th season of “Love & Hip Hop: New York.”
