PRAS SAY'S THE MONEY IS NOT GETTING TO HAITI FAST ENOUGH!

George Clooney and his famous pals raised millions through their Friday telethon for Haitian earthquake relief. But some high-profile Haitians can't understand why it's taking so long for food, water and medicine to get to the victims.
"If these people don't get what they need, there's going to be a civil war," former Fugee Pras Michel predicts. "If there was an earthquake in Manhattan and New Yorkers couldn't get food, I guarantee you New Yorkers would act like the Haitians. It's about survival."

All the same, he thinks Haiti's leaders have made the nightmare worse.

"There wasn't any emergency infrastructure to begin with. [President Rene] Preval tells the world he's homeless now. What does that say to his people? It makes your country look weak."

When it comes to corrupt politicians, he adds, "the Haitian ones make Bernie Madoff look like an angel. Baby Doc [Duvalier] offered $8 million in aid. He probably took $1 billion! Someone suggested [Jean-Bertrand] Aristide, who stole $900 million, should return. If he did, I personally would try to assassinate him."

Meanwhile, nightlife impresario Unik Ernest and Mark Wahlberg have raised $119,000 at billionaire Ron Burkle's home for Unik's Edeyo Foundation.

"The UN and U.S. officials have the food," says Unik. "They just need to start identifying the local leaders to distribute it."

“Hotel Rwanda” director Terry George isn’t surprised the United Nations has held up supply trucks until troops could ensure security.

“You have two of the largest bureaucracies in the world – the US military and the UN -- both of which have developed phobias about losing personnel,” said George at Thursday’s Rebuild Haiti auction at 1Oak (where Gillian Hearst paid $6,000 for a William Quigley drawing). “But I think they’re trying to do their best..”

Meanwhile, Harrison Ford is looking toward the day when Haiti drops off the front page.

“What’s important is that we stay in there for the long haul,” Ford told us at the Cinema Society screening of “Extraordinary Measures.” “We need to make sure this money goes to non-governmental agencies that know their way around the country.”
