Pharrell Williams is aging, just like the rest of us.
The musician assured that he is not a vampire - thus quelling speculation about his youthful looks - and is willing to go on record about it.
While the Oscar-nominated "Happy" singer has been in the public eye more frequently leading up to the big night, social media users are apparently unconvinced that he is actually 40 years old.
"I'm willing to go on record as saying that I don't drink people's blood," Williams told Time Out magazine.
"How do I stay so young-looking for a 40-year-old?" he added. "I wash my face."
His dashing good looks aside, the N.E.R.D. frontman is also preparing to release a new solo album on March 3, titled "GIRL," the day after possibly winning his first Oscar for "Happy."
The longtime producer is a well-known collaborator in hip-hop and pop music - most recently with Daft Punk for "Get Lucky," and with Robin Thicke on "Blurred Lines."
"When Columbia Records presented me with the opportunity to make an album, three things came to mind," he said in a statement, obtained by Billboard magazine.
"One was the sense of overwhelming honor that I felt when I realized that they were interested in partnering with me on the album that I had always dreamt of making. Two, it would have to feel festive and urgent. And three, I instantly knew it would be called 'G I R L'. I hope you like it."
This will be his first solo effort since 2006, when he released "In My Mind," according to Billboard.
Vampire? All he had to tell them was "This black don't crack"
