The Truth is that sometimes Drake gets a little too close for comfort.
With 12 seconds remaining and the Wizards trailing the Raptors by two points on Wednesday, Paul Pierce was about to inbound the ball when the Toronto-born rapper came up right behind him, laughing hysterically. A seemingly annoyed Pierce shoved him backward as Drake continued cracking up, blissfully unaware that his buddy-buddy act was wearing thin.
Washington went on to lose 95-93, with John Wall missing a three-pointer at the buzzer. Drake, the Raptors' lint-rolling team ambassador, ran into the tunnel to trade high-fives with DeMar DeRozan and continued his tradition of hanging all over athletes.
The musical arist has been known to be chummy with Kobe Bryant and LeBron James and even tried entering the Heat locker room after Miami won the 2013 NBA Finals.
Unfortunately for Pierce and the Wizards, the Raptors — who only sit behind the Hawks in the Eastern Conference — seem to have their number. Washington went 0-3 in their matchups this season.
At least the Wiz won't have to deal with Drake again — at least until the playoffs.
Paul Pierce was mad …...
