PARISH PRISON GONE WILD! INMATES RELEASE FOOTAGE OF DURG USE & GUNS IN JAIL!

NEW ORLEANS —U.S. District Judge Lance Africk released controversial videos Tuesday showing gambling and the use of illegal drugs and a gun at the Orleans Parish Prison.
The videos were shown Tuesday as part of the hearings over a consent decree at the jail.

In the video posted above, inmates are seen snorting, injecting and smoking various drugs inside of a jail cell. An inmate is also seen flashing a hand gun.

The inmates also drink from several tall cans of beer.

It was unclear when the video was recorded.

In another video, an inmate who was apparently supposed to be behind bars, was seen roaming Bourbon Street, talking with police officers and civilians in the French Quarter. Click to watch video.

In a third video, inmates describe the conditions from within the prison, including moldy shower rooms adjacent to where inmates were served food. Click to watch video.

For years, the prison has been plagued with issues like fights, sexual assaults and drug use among inmates.
