PARIS HILTON PLEADS GUILTY TO COCAINE POSSESSION & GETS A SLAP ON THE WRIST!

Paris Hilton pleaded guilty Monday to two misdemeanors in her Las Vegas cocaine bust in exchange for probation and a one year suspended jail sentence.
If she doesn't keep her nose clean, she'll land behind bars, the judge warned.

"The Clark County Detention Center is not the Waldorf Astoria," the judge said. "Treat this very seriously."

Hilton, 29, appeared in court and admitted she had cocaine during an Aug. 27 traffic stop on the Las Vegas strip and "willfully" lied to an officer that the Chanel handbag she was carrying wasn't hers.

"I was in possession ...[of] cocaine," she admitted. "I said that the purse wasn't mine to the officer, your honor."

The judge called the negotiation "typical" and dropped a felony charge, adding that the suspended sentence was the maximum possible.

"I know that Miss Hilton is contrite and accepts responsibility for her actions," Hilton's lawyer, David Chesnoff, said in court.

Hilton also must pay $2,000 in fines, serve 200 hours of community service and complete an outpatient substance abuse program.
