A 16-year-old girl's face was slashed and her hand nearly severed after a man pulled out a large blade and knifed her in front of a Brooklyn McDonald's on Wednesday, cops and witnesses said.
The teen was with a group of friends inside the fast-food restaurant at Fourth Ave. and 37th St. in Greenwood Heights when an argument erupted shortly after 7:30 p.m., witnesses said.
The fracas spilled into the street where a young man whipped out the blade and attacked the teenage girl, witnesses said.
"Am I going to die from this?" Dronia Thompson recalled the teen asking. "I feel dizzy."
Thompson rushed to help the injured girl after the attacker ran away. The blade sliced the teen's face and cut both of her arms.
"He pulled out a long and curved knife," said the 20-year-old Thompson. "He slashed at her two, three times and ran."
"Her face was covered in blood," Thompson said. "When I went to hold her hand, her right hand was almost off her body."
She and a small group of good Samaritans tied a scarf around the girl's arm to stop the bleeding.
Emergency workers brought the teen to Lutheran Medical Center. She was listed in serious, but stable condition on Wednesday night.
"He sliced all the way down to the bone," said another witness. "I've never seen anything like this before."
No arrests had been made as of Wednesday night.
