Bieber Fever hit the Big Apple this past week, but among the screams of joy were no doubt screams of sadness.
Justin Bieber premiered his memoir, "Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever," at New York's Fifth Ave. Barnes & Noble on Friday and fans were shocked to see the teen pop star with a shorter 'do for the first time since he first got his trademark mop.
The hair that normally covers the 16 year old's brow hovered above it as he held up his new book, which charts his rise from YouTube sensation to Usher protégé, to over a thousand excited fans.
"my fans are the most loyal passionate people ever. Super Grateful. thank u," the "Baby” singer tweeted on Friday. “We got alot more people to see... im not leaving until i keep my promise. thanks for everyone being so cool."
Less cool was the fact that Bieber's whole crew fellunder the weather following his appearance in Manhattan.
"great there is bug going around here in nyc and now my entire team got it," he tweeted on Saturday. "Everyone is sick today. AW C'MON!!"
Bieber's new haircut is the second major change the singer appeared to undergo last week. During the American Music Awards on Sunday, the pop star's voice appeared to crack midway through his performance of "Pray."
