A Texas woman's dream of having the world's largest breasts may kill her.
Sheyla Hershey, whose triple-K-sized breasts earned her the coveted title several years ago in the Brazilian Guinness Book of World records, suffered a potentially deadly staph infection after her most recent procedure in Brazil.
Now the 30-year-old model must inject herself with antibiotics daily, and doctors have told her she may lose one or both of her breasts.
"I had large fever and painful. I just couldn't breathe properly; it was terrible!" she told Fox 26 News in Houston.
Doctors fear that if the infection, which was located in her breasts, enters her bloodstream, it could be fatal.
Hershey, who presently has a triple-F cup size, is undergoing surgery to have the implants removed.
The new mom has had 30 procedures to augment her breasts over the years, fluctuating from as large as triple M to as small as a regular D cup while she was pregnant.
Now that she finds herself with a life-threatening condition, Hershey says she regrets her obsession with breast enlargements.
"If I had anything to do to go into the past, I would," the Brazilian said.
