IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

NLE Choppa took his “slut season” movement to Atlanta for Black Pride Weekend in a move he hopes pushes boundaries in Hip-Hop. The Memphis rapper made his debut on Sunday during the annual LGBTQ celebratory weekend, showing love to the queer community for its support of his “Slut Me Out 2” song. NLE Choppa took to social media to thank his queer listeners for giving the track virality. I’m noticing the LGBTQ community showing so much love to ‘Slut Me Out 2’ And I Simply Want To Say Thank You,” he wrote on X at the time, per Complex. “IDC what’s normalized as a rapper, I was raised to F**k with who f**k with you! So thank y’all for appreciating my craft. My music For ALL we do NO Discrimination.” After his appearance at Black pride, the “Shotta Flow” rapper shared a reel on social media featuring moments from the show. As A ‘Rapper’ We’ve Been Washed To Move Opposite Of Love, As I’ve Grown To An ‘Artist’ I’ve Learned To Appreciate Whoever LOVES Your Art !” wrote the 21-year-old on Instagram. “Pray This Post Makes A Difference And Bring Comfort To People to open There Mind & Heart! We All Fight ACCEPTANCE No Matter Who & And What’s Your Battle. God Is Love, And Love Brings UNITY,” he continued, adding the raised fist emoji and a pride flag emoji. “I Am A Heterosexual Male And If You Are That And You Know That Then What’s The Issue, God Bless.” In a clip shared on Instagram by photographer Freddy O Photos, the rapper relayed on stage what the moment means for him and his career. “A lot of motherf**kers had asked me, ‘You’re a rapper, what are you doing at a club like this?’ Well, I said, ‘F**k a n**ga. You want to know why? Every day, we wake up and fight [for] acceptance,’” announced NLE to the excited audience.” He continued, “At the end of the day, I believe in one thing: I feel like everybody is equal no matter how they drink their water, how they eat their food, how they piss, sh*t, or mother fu**ing sleep. So, I just want to let y’all know I’m not here for no internet.”
