Nicki Minaj's Brother Indicted In Child Rape Case

Jelani Maraj, the older brother of Nicki Minaj, was indicted April 4 with felony sexual assault conduct against a child and predatory sexual assault against a child, a clerk from New York's Nassau County Court confirmed with Cosmopolitan today. Bossip was the first to report the news. Maraj was indicted by a grand jury and according to Bossip, the group deliberated for one month before arriving to a decision. Bossip also adds that the top charge alone could put Maraj behind bars for 15 years to life.

Maraj, who was arrested in December for allegedly sexually abusing a 12-year-old, appeared in court Tuesday. He pleaded not guilty and is due back in court May 26, online records show.
