Nicki Minaj Gets Emotional In Her "Queen" Documentary

Nicki Minaj got emotional while discussing a past abusive relationship in her upcoming “Queen” documentary.

Recalling her father’s domestic abuse against her mother, Minaj drew parallels to her own life.

“I vowed from that age, no man would ever abuse me, call me out my name, treat me like that,” Minaj, 35, said in a preview clip. “And then all of a sudden, that was my life.”

Although Minaj didn’t name the man, she was visibly upset by the memory.

“I let one human being make me so low, that I didn’t even like remember who I was,” the “Barbie Dreams” rapper said. “I was scared to get in the studio … I didn’t believe in myself.”

Minaj famously dated fellow rappers Safaree Samuels and Meek Mill.

She’s recently been linked to Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton.
