NICKELODEON STAR KEKE PALMER TO PLAY "CHILLI" IN TLC BIOPIC

Keke Palmer is no “scrub.”

The 19-year-old actress and singer, who was born Lauren Keyana Palmer, has had a successful career playing starring roles in the Nickelodeon sitcom “True Jackson” and films “Akeelah and the Bee” and “Joyful Noise.”

Now ,the young starlet has been tapped to play Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas in VH1’s upcoming biopic about the iconic group TLC, along with Lil Mama in the role of the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Drew Sidora as Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins.

“I’m excited to be a part of this amazing project portraying one of the members of such an iconic group that inspired my passion for music,” Palmer tells the Daily News.

Palmer was only 6-years-old when the R&B super group was at the top of the charts with their third hit album “Fan Mail.”

“I would sing ‘No Scrubs’ over and over again to the point my parents would have to tell me to stop,” Palmer said in a previous statement. “I had my little hairbrush as my mic and nobody could tell me I wasn’t the fourth member of TLC.”

With pre-production already underway, the film is slated to begin shooting next month in TLC’s hometown of Atlanta, Ga.
